Accessibility statement

What we aim for

We want everyone to be able to use ModuForge: this website, the enquiry and sign-up forms, the onboarding hub and your dashboard. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2, at level AA.

We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we don't claim to meet that standard everywhere. When we find something that falls short, we fix it.

Accessibility settings

Our pages follow your device's settings: the text size on your phone, tablet or browser, reduced motion and higher contrast. You can change them here for this browser, and from “Accessibility settings” at the foot of every page and in your dashboard's menu.

Text size

Device default follows the text size set on your phone, tablet or browser.

Motion

Reduce motion stops our animations and moving examples.

Contrast

Higher contrast makes grey text and edges darker.

Links
Line spacing

More room between lines, letters and words.

These settings are saved in this browser only. Nothing is sent to us.

What we do

  • Text follows the size set on your device, including Larger Text on an iPhone or iPad, and you can zoom in on any page.
  • Every page has a “Skip to content” link for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • You can reach every link, button and form field with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, or you choose Reduce motion above, our animations and moving examples stop or don't play.
  • Our dashboard tutorial videos come with a written version of what they say.

What we know falls short, and what isn't ours

  • Some of our pages show example websites as moving pictures. They illustrate what we build; everything they show is also written on the page.
  • Card payments are taken on Stripe's checkout page, which Stripe runs. If it gives you trouble, tell us and we'll find another way for you to pay.
  • The websites we build for businesses belong to those businesses. We build them to the same standard; if you have trouble with one, tell the business, or tell us and we'll pass it on and fix it. If it's your own website, tell us and we'll fix it.

Tell us about a problem

If something on ModuForge is hard to use, or you need information in a different way, email hello@modu-forge.co.uk. Say which page, and what got in the way. We'll reply within 2 working days.

If something stops you doing what you came to do, we'll make a reasonable adjustment: we can take your enquiry, your sign-up details or your changes by email instead, and do the step for you.

If you're not happy with how we respond, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) gives free advice on discrimination and the Equality Act.
