Web design in Didcot
Didcot has changed more than most Oxfordshire towns, with large new neighbourhoods and science and business parks nearby. Many of the people living there arrived recently and are still finding their go-to trades.
New neighbourhoods, new customers
Great Western Park and the newer parts of Ladygrove are full of households who moved in over the last few years. They're looking for the plumber, electrician, cleaner and gardener they'll use for the next ten, and they find them online. Many work at Harwell Campus or Milton Park, or commute from Didcot Parkway, so their free time is evenings and weekends.
That combination suits a trade with a good website. A busy commuter would rather fill in a form or book a slot than play phone tag, and someone choosing a regular cleaner or gardener wants to see your rating and a few photos first.
The town and the villages
Didcot is in South Oxfordshire. Round it are older villages with very different homes, such as Blewbury, East Hagbourne, Harwell village and Cholsey, with Wallingford a little further along. Thatch, brick and flint, and big gardens are common in the villages; estates in the town tend to have small gardens and newer fittings. Trades who cover both should say so, with photos of each.
- Regular cleaning and garden maintenance for busy households, booked online.
- Extra electrics, EV chargers and smart heating for newer homes.
- Roofing, repointing and repairs for older village houses.
- Commercial cleaning and maintenance for the business parks.
Made for regular work
Plenty of Didcot work repeats: a fortnightly clean, a monthly garden visit, an annual boiler service. Core's online booking lets customers pick a slot with reminders before you arrive, and its pipeline keeps track of everyone you've worked for. On Plus, a loyalty card and a newsletter help you keep in touch with regulars who asked to hear from you.
About us, honestly
We're based in Long Hanborough, near Witney, not in Didcot, and we work online with businesses all over the UK. We show demo sites for made-up businesses so you can see the designs; we don't have Didcot clients to show you yet, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Demos, labelled as demos
Every example we show is a demo site for a made-up business, built to show a design. We don't show invented clients or reviews.
Yours after 3 months
The site is yours to keep after 3 months. Cancel sooner and it comes down. Your domain, words and photos are yours from day one.
No lead fees
Enquiries and bookings from your own site cost nothing extra, however many come in. We don't take a cut of the work.
No VAT currently charged
We're not VAT-registered at the moment, so the price you see is the price you pay. No minimum term and no notice period.
Starting early
Our Founding places are Core at a lower monthly price for its first two years, for a limited number of businesses.
Founding places
Core at £39 a month for 24 months, then £59, plus the £249 build.
10 of 10 places left.
A Founding place comes with a short case study: we may publish one about your business, naming it and quoting you. You approve the quote before anything goes up, and you can withdraw it whenever you like.
Questions
Most of my customers are on Great Western Park. Can my site say so?
Yes. We name the neighbourhoods and villages you cover, so a customer on Great Western Park or in Blewbury can see you work near them.
Can customers book a regular clean or garden visit online?
Online booking on Core and Plus takes one-off bookings for the services you set, with reminder emails. Repeat bookings aren't automatic yet, so a regular customer books each visit.
Are you a Didcot company?
No. We're based in Long Hanborough, near Witney. Everything is done online, so we can build your site wherever you are.
